DARDO D. KLIENER
Principal Software Engineer
For over 15 years, Mr. Kleiner has led CIPS’ contributions with specific technological expertise in, but not limited to, the areas of InfiniBand/RDMA networking, scalable cluster filesystems (e.g. Lustre, Ceph), “cloud” compute, storage, & network environments, and reusable library and full stack application development in C/C++, Python, Java, and Javascript/CSS/HTML.
His premier work with the Research Networks group includes administration over 100+ node compute clusters as well as development of software capable of leveraging very high bandwidth network and storage infrastructure and large graphical display systems. His expertise spans the full spectrum from Information Technology to Computer Science. Adept at technical writing, discussion, and presentation, Mr. Kleiner also has numerous publications and continuously participates in the complete lifecycle from planning, recruiting & team building to project management, developer tasking, and end-user engagement & support.
Mr. Kleiner is a Principal architect and developer of the Cloud distributed storage service, a 3 PB object store, and Distributed Interactive Visual Synchronization System (DIVSS), a geospatial information sharing platform and both have been deployed with aim to facilitate improved coordination between members. He has done ground-breaking advancements in leveraging single-stream networking technologies, and demonstrated them at SuperComputing 2014 in New Orleans, LA. Mr. Kleiner has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology with over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology and Computer Science fields.
