Scope of Work: Develop web pages for hand held Compaq PDAs to show default and disclaimer details, get records, add and calculate, display data charts and provide connections for clinical trial users. Used ASP.NET to display uploaded data in charts on web pages (Crystal Report viewer), importing, exporting, and transforming data from Lotus spreadsheets using Data Transformation Services (DTS), an MS Tool in SQL Server 2000.

Web Application Migration
Converted classic ASP applications to ASP.NET. Integrated 12 branches of endocrinology department into a central web and data store with a SQL Server 2000. Designed custom web applications to automate projects, provide greater accuracy and report generation (administer surveys, build pedigree families for TDT calculations,) using ASP, VB Script, and SQL 2000.

Crystal Enterprise Reports and Active X Development
Created custom ActiveX controls that provide dynamic ad-hoc wizard functionality. User screens have ability to retrieve data from database and save new or updated existing records. Changed DLL to load records into database. Wrote utilities to clean temp files automatically after loads. Users have separate application to generate reports in Crystal Reports from VB Application. Reports links were saved to the database and made available on the web page. Coding structure in VB included classes and user defined controls. Created e-mail engine for DLL so user can e-mail problem from the spot. Added sorting to grid by error type. The application was modified with error tracking, reporting, and e-mail support.

Results: Designed application architecture. Recommended current and future software needs for the direction of the development team
