Enterprise Application Redesign Allotment Accounting & Expenditure Processing System Database Redesign & Implementation
Scope of Work: Conducted Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) of database requirements from original IDMS database design; designed logical and physical database models (Oracle) using Modeling tools and MIL standards; provided database administration support for Oracle development and test database for respective environments; established review and approval process; implemented database change management; built new data enterprise repository from old legacy system; provided Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) support, migrated data for integration and user acceptance testing; and participated in database back-up and recovery.
Application Web Security Prototype Development
Participated in developing web-enabling prototype to comply with DoD security issues involved with remote application access using Java, C, Oracle, Powerbuilder, and HTTPS.
Results: Improved the quality of database deliverables in an enterprise environment. Established database change management controls. Trained senior Navy staff. Received Commendation from the Commander In-Charge. |
